For Women, By Women: Garmin Lily Smart Watch Review

Classic enough to make a statement and modern enough to keep you connected. The Garmin Lily is the first smartwatch in Garmin's range that is specifically designed for women, by women. It's the smallest Garmin Smart Watch to date and features a sleek and minimal design, meaning you'll never have to compromise style for functionality ever again.
We've broken down the features that the Garmin Lily has to offer to help you decide if it's something you'd like to invest in. Whether you're just starting out or a seasoned athlete, Garmin has many great choices for you.
Stylish Design

Garmin Lily
The Garmin Lily features a complete design overhaul compared to other Garmin smart watches you might have seen before. There are two models within the Garmin Lily range: the Lily Classic and the Lily Sport. Both models are available in three colour-ways with removable bands, but the Lily Classic comes with an Italian leather band while the Lily Sport comes with a silicone strap.
Garmin Lily
The Garmin Lily is designed with a woman's smaller frame in mind with a petite 34mm watch case and a wrist band with a width of 14mm and length of 110-174mm. The Lily features a bright TFT LCD display with a 16 shade grayscale palette and a stylish patterned lens.
Water Resistance
The Garmin Lily has a water resistance rating of 5ATM, meaning it can withstand water pressure equivalent to a depth of 50 meters for 10 minutes. This makes it suitable for showering, swimming, snorkelling and the occasional wet weather.
Smartwatch Functionality
The Garmin Lily operates on the assumption that you'll always have your phone on. Hence, the Lily does not feature offline music storage, only allowing you to control music playback on your phone. Choose from a wide and versatile range of widgets to customise your Lily smart watch experience but do note that the Lily is not compatible with applications and faces from the Garmin Connect IQ store.

Fitness Trackers

Garmin Lily
The Garmin Lily features connected GPS where it utilises your phone's navigation instead of on-board GPS. The Lily offers seven timed activities to choose from such as swimming, walking, strength training, indoor and outdoor and you can view a map of your workout in the Connect app once you've finished. Up to 14 days of tracking data can be stored in the Garmin Lily, although the logs will also be synced onto your phone, so you'll always have access to them.
Safety Features

Garmin Lily
We all know the dangers that women face when running alone late at night or when simply walking through more secluded areas. The Garmin Lily takes this into account with features such as LiveTrack which allows a friend or family member to follow your progress when you're out on a run using the Garmin Connect application on their phone.
The Garmin Lily also features a SOS feature where you are able to set up an emergency contact in the Garmin Connect application. Simply tap on the watch screen repeatedly to send out an SOS message to your emergency contact with your GPS co-ordinates to let them know of your whereabouts in case anything bad were to happen. Give yourself a peace of mind knowing that someone is looking out for your safety as you go about your day.
Companion Application

Garmin Lily
Get a good look at all your trackers at a glance with the Garmin Connect's dashboard which summarises all your statistics and personal records. The application layout and overall interface is well thought out and optimised for the best user experience ever.
