When it comes to the most well-rounded floor robot vacuum, the Eufy RoboVac 11s steals the show. With a diameter of 32.5cm and a height of 7.1cm, this floor robot vacuum won't take up too much real estate in your home - you'll barely even notice it as it putters around! However, it should be noted that the Eufy RoboVac 11s is controlled with a remote control rather than an app.

What's cool about the Eufy RoboVac 11s is its vast array of cleaning modes. They are as follows: Auto, which puts the Eufy RoboVac on automatic cleaning; Spot, which is used for targeted area cleaning; Edge, which is used for wall cleaning; Single Room, which does as the name suggests; and Manual, which allows you to use the remote control's directional buttons to control your Eufy RoboVac 11s much like in a video game.

Cleaning Capabilities

When it comes to cleaning, there really isn't much to say about the Eufy RoboVac 11s, as it performs beautifully on all fronts and is able to collect both fine and large debris - this is especially so when it comes to hard flooring. However, it does falter slightly on medium and thick pile carpets.

The Eufy RoboVac 11s's dust box is also capable of storing up to 0.6L of debris. Furthermore, the Eufy RoboVac 11s also features an infra-red sensor and drop-sensing technology to allow the vacuum to avoid obstacles and falls. It also makes use of BoostIQ technology to increase suction power whenever extra vacuuming strength is needed.

Performance

In terms of noise level, the Eufy RoboVac 11s still lies in a reasonable range, with a noise level range of 55 to 60 decibels. This is borderline the noise a normal conversation would produce - hence, you may rest assured that the Eufy RoboVac 11s won't cause too much disruption to your home life.

Additionally, when it comes to battery, the Eufy RoboVac 11s is estimated to last 100 minutes in Standard mode and is said to take 5-6 hours to recharge fully. However, some users have reported that Eufy appears to have underestimated the capabilities of their product, as it has been mentioned that the Eufy RoboVac 11s can actually last much longer, and take a shorter time to charge. The Eufy RoboVac 11s is also smart, in the sense that it will automatically return to its docking station to charge when it needs.

Overall, the Eufy RoboVac 11s provides the most well-rounded cleaning experience for an extremely affordable price point, landing it its place as the best overall robot vacuum cleaner. If this sounds like the investment for you, shop the Eufy RoboVac 11s here

The best all-rounded vacuum

This vacuum does it all - and for a cost that won't break the bank.

Best for Functions: iRobot Roomba S9+

Unsurprisingly, iRobot's Roomba lands a place on this list, with the iRobot Roomba S9+ being the best floor robot vacuum when it comes to functions. At a diameter of 31.2 cm and a height of 8.9 cm, while it is slightly larger, it more than makes up for it with the sheer array of functions it has.

Firstly, you'll notice that the iRobot Roomba S9+ has a lot going on at first glance. The top of the vacuum has a room confinement (RCON) sensor, which allows the iRobot Roomba S9+ to detect virtual walls. Furthermore, the vacuum has a clutter sensor, camera and buttons to power the iRobot Roomba S9+ on as well as instruct it to clean. The iRobot Roomba S9+ also features an indicator that changes from red when the Roomba S9+ is charging, white when it is cleaning, and blue when it is connecting to Wi-Fi.

Unlike the Eufy RoboVac 11s, the iRobot Roomba S9+ has a companion app, which can be used to instruct the iRobot Roomba S9+ to start and stop cleaning, as well as to set cleaning schedules, map your house, and check the history of your cleaning sessions amongst others. As can be seen, the iRobot Roomba S9+ has thought of it all when it comes to functions.

Cleaning Capabilities

In terms of cleaning, the iRobot Roomba S9+ also performs beautifully. Upon docking, the iRobot Roomba S9+ will automatically dispense the debris collected into the Clean Base, which stores up to 30 cleanings worth of debris. How do you know when to empty the Clean Base? Well, iRobot has factored that in as well, and you will automatically be informed by the app.

The iRobot Roomba S9+ is also able to suck up all types of debris, and much like the Eufy RoboVac 11s will change its suction strength depending on the type of material it is cleaning, with heavier suction used for carpet as compared to tile or wood. Furthermore, the iRobot Roomba S9+ makes use of PerfectEdge Technology to allow the robot vacuum to clean corners better.

Performance

Unfortunately, the iRobot Roomba S9+ is a relatively loud robot vacuum, and users have noted that its volume increases when it is dispensing debris into the Clean Base.

The iRobot Roomba S9+ also has a battery life of about 60 minutes. While the iRobot Roomba S9+ does lie on the pricier end when it comes to floor vacuums, for the variety of functions available, it is definitely worth the investment.

With a diameter of 34.3 cm and a height of 9.7 cm at its highest edge, the Roborock S4 Max is also one of the larger robot vacuums on the market. However, it is extremely user-friendly and offers a lot of customisation.

Firstly, there are four cleaning modes to choose from in the Roborock S4 Max's companion app. These are Quiet, Balanced, Turbo, and Max. Furthermore, the app also allows you to track the area cleaned, the battery level, cleaning time and mapped route for the Roborock S4 Max, allowing you to keep track of your vacuum easily and avoid accidentally cleaning areas you have already cleaned.

Additionally, you are also able to set virtual boundary markers within the app to prevent the Roborock S4 Max from venturing into forbidden territory, and the vacuum is very faithful to these boundaries. Unlike most other robot vacuums, the Roborock S4 Max also makes use of LiDAR navigation, which allows for faster mapping of your home.

Cleaning Capabilities

In terms of cleaning, the Roborock S4 Max has a pretty standard performance. However, it does struggle more on low-pile debris, as well as with finer debris and pet hair.

Performance

When it comes to battery life, the Roborock S4 Max knocks it out of the park. Even at its highest setting, the Max setting, it is able to last a whopping 90 minutes, and on its lowest Quiet setting, this time is extended to 210 minutes. Unfortunately, the trade-off is that the Roborock S4 Max takes about five hours to recharge.

In terms of noise, the Roborock S4 Max performs respectably, with the highest volume reached being only 63 decibels. This is borderline the level reached by a normal conversation. Thus, you will not have to worry about the Roborock S4 Max disrupting your home life or compromising your quality of life!

For what it offers, the Roborock S4 Max is relatively affordable and is definitely one of the best value-for-money options when it comes to robot vacuums out there. If this piques your interest, you can shop the Roborock S4 Max here

iRobot is a well-respected giant in the field of robot vacuums - hence, unsurprisingly, it claims another spot on this list. It may be difficult to make a decision between all the floor robot vacuums out there (especially since they tend to blur into a mess of uniform circles after a certain point in your search). Thus, if you're looking for a good, standard floor robot vacuum to start off, we recommend the iRobot Roomba i3+.

Featuring a self-emptying dustbin, much like the iRobot Roomba s9+, the iRobot Roomba i3 also has a Clean Base dock that serves as a charging station as well as a disposal point. This Clean Base dock can also store up to 60 days worth of debris in an AllergenLock bag.

The iRobot Roomba i3+ is also compatible with Amazon Alexa, allowing you to easily command it with your voice.

Cleaning Capabilities

When it comes to cleaning, the iRobot Roomba i3+ performs flawlessly. In particular, it features a Dirt Detect mode, which is automatically activated when the iRobot Roomba i3+ encounters an especially offensive area that needs a more thorough cleaning, as well as a Spot Clean mode that covers about three feet from the point of origin.

Generally, the iRobot Roomba i3+ has no issues with different types of debris and is able to pass smoothly across different types of flooring.

Performance

Unfortunately, similar to the iRobot Roomba s9+, the iRobot Roomba i3+ is among the louder models of floor vacuums, with users reporting that the sound made can be more disruptive.

In terms of battery life, the iRobot Roomba i3+ can last up to a respectable 90 minutes before it has to return back to the Clean Base to charge. What's cool about the iRobot Roomba i3+ is that it is able to remember where it stopped, so that it can resume cleaning from that spot once it is done charging. This means that you won't have to "babysit" your floor vacuum, and you can pretty much leave it to its own devices! This is especially useful for those who are busy and just need their homes cleaned without too much fuss.

Overall, the iRobot Roomba i3+ is a solid, standard option for beginners looking for their first-floor vacuum. If this sounds like the pick for you, shop the iRobot Roomba i3+ here
