Dyson V10 boasts an in-line configuration, placing its motor, bin, and cyclones all aligned in a straight line, resulting in a more balanced and streamlined design compared to the V8. Meanwhile, the V8's bin opens horizontally, so users have to tilt the vacuum more awkwardly to align the bin with the trash can, then pull the bin release catch to empty the contents.

Charging the Dyson V10 is also quicker at 3.5 hours, while the V8 can take up to 5 hours to fully recharge. A shorter runtime and longer charging time make the Dyson V8 more suitable for smaller homes, while the Dyson V10 better caters to larger homes that require longer cleaning sessions.
