When it comes to pricing, the Fitbit Versa 4 is on the higher end, as it is the newer model. The Fitbit Versa 4 has a retail price of US$199 while the Fitbit Versa 3 has been marked down to US$149.
#2 Design & Display
Fitbit Versa 4 vs Fitbit Versa 3
The Fitbit Versa 4 and Versa 3 may appear nearly identical at first glance. Both models have a square, rounded-edge screen with an AMOLED display, providing users with high-quality visuals. However, a closer inspection reveals a major difference between the two: the side button. The Versa 3 features more of a haptic button on the side, while the Versa 4 has reintroduced the physical button, which is also placed slightly higher, making it more accessible to users. Despite this significant change, the overall appearance of the two models remains nearly identical.
There are some slight differences when it comes to their colour variants. With the Versa 4, you can choose from 3 colour choices: Black/Graphite, Pink Sand/Copper Rose and Waterfall Blue/Platinum. The Fitbit Versa 3 gave us 4 colour options: Black/Black, Midnight Blue/Gold, Pink/Gold and Thistle/Gold. However, both watches have swappable accessory bands, so you can further personalise your colour by using a custom option.
#3 Health & Fitness

The Fitbit Versa 3 and Versa 4 are both excellent options for anyone looking for a fitness tracker with a range of features. In addition to Active Zone Minutes, 24/7 heart rate monitoring, SpO2 tracking, vibrating alarm, Sleep Profile (a Fitbit Premium feature), readiness score, and a waterproof build, these devices also offer a number of other benefits. For example, they both have built-in GPS, which allows you to track your runs and other outdoor activities with precision.
The Fitbit Versa 4 stands out with its additional workout modes and smartwatch features. It offers up to 40 different exercise modes, which is double that of the Versa 3. With the ability to now track everything from CrossFit to HIIT, it is ideal for users who like to switch up their workout routines.
Although not included at launch, the Fitbit Versa 4 now has new Google apps, such as Google Wallet and Maps, added via a firmware update. With Google Wallet, you can centralise your digital payment solution seamlessly, rather than using the usual Fitbit Pay. With Google Maps, turn-by-turn directions on your wrist can upgrade your navigation game. You can keep your eyes on the road without having to constantly check your phone to see if you're on the right track.
#4 Battery & Power
Fitbit Versa 4 vs Fitbit Versa 3
When it comes to battery life, both the Fitbit Versa 4 and Fitbit Versa 3 can last up to 6 days, which is impressive. While both models need two hours of charge time, Fitbit claims that the Versa 4 can be charged for just 12 minutes to get a full day of battery life, which is an incredible feat.
However, it's important to note that battery life can vary depending on usage. For instance, if you use your smartwatch to track your workouts every day, you may need to charge it more frequently. Conversely, if you only use it for basic smartwatch features such as receiving notifications and checking the time, it's likely to last longer between charges.

Fitbit Versa 4 vs Fitbit Versa 3
The Fitbit Versa range is a highly-capable smartwatch that offers a great deal of functionality for its price point.
When deciding between the two models, note that the Fitbit Versa 4 offers physical upgrades, additional exercise modes, and potentially more Google-enabled smartwatch functions.
If you currently own a Fitbit Versa 3 that is still functioning well, upgrading may not be necessary. However, if you are in the market for a new smartwatch, the Fitbit Versa 4 is a worthwhile investment in the long run with the new firmware upgrades you can expect.
