The large 48 mm case houses a bright 1.5-inch AMOLED screen that can reach up to 2,000 nits of peak brightness, making it highly visible even in direct sunlight.
In contrast, the Huawei Watch GT 5 is built for fashion. The 46 mm variant has a refined sharp-edged design, while the 41 mm variant has an elegant bezel patterned with leaves. Each size comes in several colors and strap materials to suit different style preferences, as opposed to the Amazfit T-Rex 3, which only comes in black and lava colors with only a liquid silicone strap option.

Calorie management with the Stay Fit app helps users better understand their calorie intake and expenditure, including calorie deficit, which is when you burn more calories than you consume, helping you reach your weight loss goals. Meanwhile, the pulse wave arrhythmia analysis feature can detect signs of atrial fibrillation (Afib), a common type of irregular heartbeat that can lead to serious complications if left untreated.
Meanwhile, the Amazfit T-Rex 3 excels more in sports and training-related features. While both watches equally support over 100 sports, only the T-Rex 3 supports deeper water activities like freediving and spearfishing, thanks to its diving certification.
It also features strength exercise recognition, detecting 25 types of strength exercises and automatically counting the reps and sets so you don’t have to. The Huawei Watch GT 5 doesn’t have an equivalent capability.

However, the Amazfit T-Rex 3 is catching up in smartwatch features by offering Zepp Flow, an AI voice assistant powered by OpenAI's GPT-4o, which can understand natural language and perform various tasks. Huawei Watch GT 5 also has its own voice assistant, but the feature is exclusive to Huawei phone users.
