Best Overall: Lavatools Javelin Pro Duo Thermometer

Lavatools Javelin Pro Duo Thermometer

Speed and Accuracy

Lavatools aren't playing around when they call the Lavatools Javelin Pro Duo an instant-read thermometer - the Javelin Pro Duo Thermometer is able to provide a response within 2-3 seconds, and to an accuracy of 0.9 Fahrenheit, plus or minus. This means that you can get a speedy, accurate reading without having to expose your food to the air for longer than necessary.

Lavatools Javelin Pro Duo Thermometer

Special Features

The first special feature that the Lavatools Javelin Pro Duo has is a touch sensor. Simply double-tap to look at the minimum and maximum temperatures since the thermometer has been turned on. Want to see the current temperature instead? Hold down the sensor!

The Lavatools Javelin Pro Duo also takes into account the user experience - while it may appear to be a small feature, the Javelin Pro Duo's rotating display will add much-needed convenience while cooking. Whether you use your thermometer with your left or right hand, the display will adjust itself accordingly such that your readings are always on the right side up.

Finally, the Lavatools Javelin Pro Duo is also made of dust-proof, splash-resistant and water-resistant IP65 plastic to ensure that your food thermometer remains in tip-top condition. The probe itself is also corrosion-resistant and specially manufactured to reduce the risk of microbes or food-borne diseases making themselves at home on your thermometer.

With its sleek design and lightweight build, the Lavatools Javelin Pro Duo certainly lives up to its name of "Javelin". Receiving rave reviews across multiple sources, with its range of features and affordable price point, the Javelin Pro Duo is overall the best thermometer from Lavatools. Speed and Accuracy

Similar to the Javelin Pro Duo, the Lavatools Javelin is able to read to an accuracy of 0.9 Fahrenheit, plus or minus. However, unlike the Javelin Pro Duo, the Javelin's response time is around 3-4 seconds. Nevertheless, this is still a relatively quick response speed.

Special Features

The Lavatools Javelin has a similar splash-resistance and anti-microbial coating as the Javelin Pro Duo.

The strength of the Lavatools Javelin Thermometer lies in how user-friendly it is.

From the colour options available that allow you to easily match your kitchen aesthetic to the magnetic backing which allows you to store it easily on your refrigerator to prevent you from losing it, to its high portability due to its lanyard compatibility, it's clear that Lavatools has designed the Javelin Thermometer with the user's comfort in mind.

Furthermore, the Lavatools Javelin Thermometer has a battery life of over 4000 hours. That's a lot of dishes you can make! The battery itself is single-cell, making it easy to replace. Additionally, the Javelin Thermometer is smart enough to sense if it has been inactive for too long, and will automatically power down after an hour of inactivity to conserve energy.

Compared to the Javelin Pro Duo, the Lavatools Javelin takes a longer time to produce a reading and has a smaller screen size of 1.4 inches compared to the Javelin Pro Duo's 2 inches. Hence, for those looking for a little more bang for their buck, the Javelin Pro Duo is still the best overall choice. Nevertheless, the Javelin remains an affordable and well-balanced option for beginners. If you're interested, you can shop the Lavatools Javelin Thermometer here

Best Oven Thermometer: Lavatools Element Oven Thermometer

Lavatools Element Oven Thermometer

We've seen some of Lavatools best general food thermometers - but what about oven thermometers? Well, do not fret, for we have just the thing for you - the Lavatools Element Oven Thermometer.

Speed and Accuracy

Although the Lavatools Element Oven Thermometer is considerably slower than the other thermometers mentioned, with a response time of up to 15 seconds. Generally, the Element's main sensor can match up well to the accuracy of other probe thermometers, though its ambient sensor has a slightly more average performance. However, the Element has a very large monitoring range and can detect temperatures from -20 to 300 degrees Celsius.

Lavatools Element Oven Thermometer

Special Features

One key feature of the Lavatools Element Oven Thermometer is its dual-sensor probe, with the main sensor on one end to measure the temperature of your food, and an ambient sensor on the other to measure the temperature of the cooking chamber (hence earning its name of oven thermometer). This means that you do not have to invest extra money in a separate probe thermometer when you can kill two birds with one stone.

Furthermore, this dual-sensor probe allows the Element to provide an estimate of when your food will be done cooking. Along with the built-in temperature alarm, which detects if your food has reached too high or too low a temperature, the estimator makes use of information from the main sensor and ambient sensor to provide you with an estimated time until your food is done cooking.

Although the Lavatools Element Oven Thermometer is slightly pricier, it is definitely worth every penny. If you are interested to find out more, you can shop the Lavatools Element Oven Thermometer here

Best Bluetooth Thermometer: Lavatools Carbon Lite Bluetooth Thermometer

Lavatools Carbon Lite Bluetooth Thermometer

At first glance, the Lavatools Carbon Lite Bluetooth Thermometer looks nothing like a regular probe thermometer. With a small square device attached to a probe, you will probably find yourself more reminded of a wall plug. However, the Lavatools Carbon Lite Bluetooth Thermometer comes with several interesting functions.

Speed and Accuracy

Like the Lavatools Element Oven Thermometer, the Lavatools Carbon Lite Bluetooth Thermometer has a dual-probe sensor. Its main sensor can pick up readings more accurately than its ambient sensor. It can read to an accuracy of 1.8 Fahrenheit, and has a temperature range of -40 to 300 degrees Celsius (though this number rises slightly for the ambient sensor, which can read from -20 to 300 degrees Celsius).

Lavatools Carbon Lite Bluetooth Thermometer

Special Features

Much like the Lavatools Element Oven Thermometer, the Lavatools Carbon Lite Bluetooth Thermometer boasts a dual-sensor probe.

As the Carbon Lite connects to your mobile device, there is no display on the device itself to show you your readings. Instead, the main square device lights up when your food is done, based on readings from your mobile device. The light will change from green to yellow to red the more your food cooks, much like a traffic light system.

Due to its main feature being that it is a Bluetooth device, you will have to connect the Carbon Lite to your smart device and download the corresponding thermometer app. From there, you will be exposed to a variety of preset cooking profiles to help you in your cooking. From a simple timer feature to temperature alarms, to even graphs, there are a lot of features to play around with on the app, all of which will provide you greater insight into your cooking.

However, a gripe that some users have is the limited Bluetooth range. With no obstacles, the Carbon Lite's range extends to 35m - with walls in between, as is bound to happen in homes, this range can be cut to a third of what it is reported to be. Hence, for users who usually putter around different spots, this might not be the most ideal.

Nevertheless, the Lavatools Carbon Lite Bluetooth Thermometer is an affordable and unique thermometer to introduce into your home. If you feel like this is a good fit for you, shop the Lavatools Carbon Lite Bluetooth Thermometer here

Monitor your food even when you're no in the kitchen for precise temperature measurements.
