The Tineco Pure One S11 was a popular cordless vacuum cleaner that gained acclaim for its reliable performance and versatile attachments. With the release of the Tineco Pure One S12, the company has introduced several key improvements to enhance the cleaning experience and address the limitations of the previous model.
What are these upgrades and are they significant for you?
Key Takeaways
Tineco Pure One S12 offers 5 upgrades over the S11, including a new Direct Drive brush, a new display interface, a power control slider for manual mode, increased suction power, and a longer runtime. Design
Tineco Pure One S12
Tineco Pure One S11 and S12 share a similar overall design and appearance, featuring the same 0.6 L dustbin capacity and cordless, lightweight construction for easy maneuvering.
Both models include several accessories to use as a handheld, including a mini power brush, dusting brush, and crevice tool. However, the primary roller brush they use for floor cleaning is different.
The S12 comes with a Direct Drive LED Multi-Tasker Power Brush, an upgrade from the LED Multi-Tasker Power Brush on the S11. Both come with LED headlights to illuminate debris on the floor, but the Direct Drive brush on the S12 has a built-in high torque motor for more powerful suction and deeper cleaning performance.
Control Interface

While both the Tineco S11 and S12 feature an LED screen, the display interface is slightly different.
The S11 shows the battery levels in an icon with three indicators to display low, medium, or full battery. There are also three separate icons to indicate tangled brush roller, blocked air channel, and dust sensor malfunction, which blink to alert the user of any issues.
The S12 retains the three alert icons but now displays the battery level in numbers. "Auto" will be displayed when the vacuum is in Auto mode and the bar will indicate how much power is being used. Therefore, the display on the S12 is more informative than that of the S11.
One common element found on both displays is the dust monitoring loop, also known as a ring light, which glows red when the dust sensor detects a high level of dust and debris and glows blue to indicate that the floor is clean.
On top of a display, the S12 adds a power control slider, a capacitive touch surface near the handle which allows you to adjust the suction power on the fly. The S11 doesn't have a power slider, so you can't manually control the power level.
Features
Tineco Pure One S11
Tineco S11 and S12 share three common key features, including the iLoop Smart Sensor for dust detection and automatic suction power adjustment, a 4-Stage Filtration System for capturing fine dust particles, and connectivity to the Tineco app for adjustment, monitoring, and maintenance.
One notable difference between the two is the power modes available, with the S12 taking the lead with three power modes — Auto, Max, and Manual — as compared to the S11 with just two power modes — Auto and Max.
Manual mode on the S12 is possible thanks to its power control slider, allowing you to fine-tune the suction power as needed instead of being limited to just Auto and Max modes.
Auto adjusts the suction power automatically based on the detected dust level, while Max mode provides the highest suction power for more intensive cleaning.
Max mode on the S12 is around 11% more powerful, reaching up to 145W of power compared to 130W on the S11. This is because the S12 has an upgraded high-performance motor with 500W of power, an increase from the 450W motor in the S11. That translates to a stronger suction for deeper cleaning on carpets and stubborn dirt on the S12.
Battery

Both the Tineco Pure One S11 and S12 are powered by a 2500mAh lithium-ion battery, but the S12 has a longer runtime thanks to its more efficient power management.
In the Auto mode, the S11 can run for up to 40 minutes on a single charge, while the S12 has a runtime of up to 50 minutes. Using the Max mode reduces the runtime even further.
Thankfully, the batteries of both vacuums are detachable. If you purchase additional battery packs, you can extend the runtime of both models to 100 minutes on the S12 or 80 minutes on the S11 by using two batteries.

Final Thoughts
Tineco Pure One S12
While the two models share a similar overall design and key cleaning features, the S12 stands out with its additional capabilities. The upgraded 500W motor and Direct Drive LED Multi-Tasker Power Brush provide enhanced suction and deeper cleaning performance on carpets and tough dirt.
The S12's display offers more detailed information, while a new power control slider allows for manual suction adjustment, giving users greater control over their cleaning experience. The S12 also has a longer runtime, making it the clear choice for those seeking a feature-rich cordless vacuum cleaner.
For those who don't need the extra capabilities of the S12 and want to save some money, the S11 is still a capable option with a more affordable price tag.
