Dyson V15 has an in-line configuration where the motor, dust bin, and cyclones are all aligned, while the Tineco S12 Pro Ex has a right-angle configuration with the motor and dust bin perpendicular to each other.
The in-line configuration on the Dyson V15 not only allows for a more compact and streamlined design but also improves airflow, balance, and suction power.
Dyson V15 also has a larger bin capacity of 0.77 L, though it is not a big difference compared to the 0.6 L bin of the Tineco S12 Pro Ex.

Both vacuums feature a digital display, which shows essential information like the modes, maintenance alerts, and battery. Battery runtime on the Dyson V15 is shown as a countdown in minutes, which is more useful to gauge how much runtime is left as compared to the battery percentage display on the Tineco S12 Pro Ex.
Dyson V15's display is also more advanced in that it shows the particle count detected by the piezo sensor. Color-coded bars on the LCD visualize the number and size of particles sucked up by the vacuum, providing real-time feedback on the cleaning performance.

Boost and Max are the highest suction modes on the Dyson V15 and Tineco S12 Pro Ex, providing maximum cleaning power for heavily soiled areas. However, suction is more powerful in the Dyson V15, reaching up to 240 AW. That's 65% higher than the maximum suction of 145 AW on the Tineco S12 Pro Ex.
Auto modes on both models adapt suction power intelligently based on the detected dirt level. However, the Tineco S12 uses iLoop smart sensor technology to determine the level of dirt on the floor, while the Dyson V15 relies on the piezo sensor to count the particles sucked up by vacuum, which indicates the level of dirt. Piezo sensor knows the exact amount of dirt picked up, so it is more accurate in determining the cleaning needs.
When the Digital Motorbar is used, Auto mode on the Dyson V15 will also adjust the suction power based on the floor type detected. Suction power will be increased automatically when transitioning from hard floors to carpets.
Auto mode on the Dyson V15 will be replaced with Medium mode when non-powered tools like a crevice tool are used, which uses a balanced level of suction power. The Eco mode, meanwhile, provides the lowest suction power with the longest runtime.
Tineco S12 Pro Ex lacks an Eco mode, but it instead has a more flexible Manual mode. Thanks to the power slider, we can adjust the suction power level as needed for different cleaning tasks. This makes the Tineco S12 Pro Ex more adaptable for your specific cleaning needs.

Tineco Pure One S12 Pro Ex can connect to the Tineco app for adjustments of the vacuum settings, real-time cleaning performance, cleaning reports, maintenance reminders, and more.
MyDyson app is also available, but the app doesn't connect to the Dyson V15. With no connectivity, the in-app features are limited to just guides and product support.
Battery

Dyson V15 Detect can last for up to 60 minutes per charge, which is slightly longer than the 50-minute runtime of the Tineco S12 Pro Ex. However, the Tineco S12 Pro Ex comes with an additional battery that can extend the total runtime up to 100 minutes, much longer than the Dyson V15 Detect.
Dyson V15 only comes with a single removable battery pack, but you can purchase a spare battery to extend the runtime if needed.
