TORRAS Coolify 2S Review: Gimmick or Legit?

TORRAS has released the latest addition to its Coolify line-up, the all-new Coolify 2S. This new model is an upgrade to the second-generation Coolify2, which was released back in 2022. TORRAS has made some decent improvements to the Coolify 2S, ensuring that it offers even better performance and more features than its predecessor.
Today, we’ll take a look at the device and answer if it is worth all the hype around it.

TORRAS Coolify 2S Review
At first glance, the Coolify 2S boasts a sleek and stylish design that is sure to turn heads. The polished exterior of the device gives it a futuristic appearance that is both elegant and refined.
TORRAS has paid close attention to every detail of the Coolify 2S, ensuring that it not only performs well but also looks great. It has a rather compact size and feels lightweight enough, which should make it easy to carry around. Definitely user-friendly for people who are always on the go.
The device sits comfortably around the neck and doesn’t feel at all heavy. And thanks to its modern design, it doesn’t look awkward while wearing it and its kinda similar to having a pair of headphones.
TORRAS has touted that the device would be ideal to keep cool while doing sports. After playing with it for awhile and doing a couple of jumps and sprints, the device does bounce on your shoulders which might be uncomfortable for long periods. So, we definitely do not recommend it for strenuous sports. However, if you're participating in activities with less aggressive upper body movements, such as walking, hiking, or cycling, it would be a better complement.

The main purpose of the TORRAS Coolify 2S is to cool you down or warm you up wherever you are. The device achieves that mainly through two mechanisms — semiconductor cooling plates & air vents. With this, it achieves 3 different modes — Cool/Fan/Heat — with 3 different level settings for each.
The cooling plates line around the inner wall of the Coolify 2S and is in direct contact with your neck. In cooling mode, these plates will turn cold to provide a chill sensation. On the highest level, it really does feel like you’re putting ice cubes around your neck.
The air vents lie on the left and right side of the top of the device and blows a wind out and up towards face. This complements the cooling plates really well and keeps your neck and face cool without breaking out into a sweat. This makes it ideal for use during the hot summer months or in places where the temperature is consistently high.
On the highest level of cooling, the device will get you about 3 hours of usage before it runs out of battery. On the lowest setting, you will get about 5 hours or so. This is definitely enough for brief activities but falls short for if you’re out the whole day hiking. The good thing is, the device can be easily recharged with a portable battery and you can also use the device will it is charging. Whilst this may not be the most convenient arrangement, it works out as a solution for those who need to use the device throughout the day.
The Fan mode simply activates the air vents without the cooling plate. May be a great way to save battery if you don’t nee to activate the cooling plates as it can last up to 28 hours on the lowest setting and about 11 hours on the max setting.
The Heat mode activates the same cooling plates, but instead of getting cold, they heat up to provide a gentle warming sensation. The feeling is kinda reminiscent to those hand warmers you use during winter to provide a nice relief to the cold. So this feature is definitely great to have if you experience winter or plan to visit a cold country!

The Coolify 2S is the 3rd release from TORRAS in their collection of wearable neck air conditioners. It is definitely an extremely unique device with TORRAS pioneering the space a few years ago by elevating regular neck fans to include cooling plates for a sensation unlike any other.
Compared to its first generation model, the Coolify 2S is a significant improvement in both design and engineering. As a result, it has become a beloved device for many users. And it's not hard to see why. Heat and cold are common sources of discomfort for many people. When you're out and about, there aren't many ways to alleviate these discomforts other than drinking a hot or cold beverage or seeking refuge indoors. With a device that has such impressive temperature-regulating abilities, it's easy to fall in love with it.
#4 Worth the Hype?

The TORRAS Coolify 2S is not cheap, but it delivers on its promises. Since temperature is a personal experience, some people may find the cooling and heating strength of the device to vary based on their personal sensitivity.
That said, it definitely does the job to provide quick relief for you when the temperature gets too unbearable. So if you need a device to take with you wherever you go to provide comfort in the sweltering heat or blistering cold, consider taking the TORRAS Coolify 2S with you.
